Wentworth to host Freestyle Canada Cup event
Ski Wentworth, along with Freestyle Nova Scotia and Wentworth Freestyle, will be hosting the 2025 Toyo Tires Wentworth Canada Cup, from February 12-16. Wentworth will welcome some of the nation’s top freestyle skiing talent for this national event, a first for Atlantic Canada. Eleven local Nova Scotia athletes have qualified to compete and will vie for the podium.
“This is the highest level of competition hosted at Wentworth since the 2011 Canada Winter Games,” said Wentworth Freestyle head coach Thor Durning. “Over the past 15 years, the sport of freestyle skiing in Nova Scotia has continued to grow and mature. From athlete, coach and official development to mountain operations, grooming and the Legacy Terrain Park site itself. Wentworth has proven we have what it takes to host a national level event.”
After two days of training on Feb. 12 & 13, competition gets underway Friday, Feb. 14 with slopestyle qualifications. Slopestyle finals run Saturday, Feb. 15 with Big Air competition on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Wentworth is pleased to announce Alva Construction as presenting partner for the Wentworth Canada Cup.
